This is an MCSA sanctioned event. It is open to MCSA members of MC scows who are younger than 21 years of age on or before the first scheduled race. A complimentary membership in MCSA for 2017 will be granted to all who compete in this event. Email with membership details and you will be added to the database.
All yachts must comply with the MC class scantlings prior to the preparatory signal of the first scheduled race. A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number, and must compete with that number for the entire event.
This year's MCSA Youth Championship is being held in conjunction with the MCSA National Championship at Rush Creek YC, Texas. You will be racing with the entire fleet- all divisions (open, youth, masters, grand masters, mega masters, women). There is a separate  "Youth Championship Division".

The Low Point System, RRS A4, will apply, except that each boat's total score will be the sum of her scores for all races; in the event that seven (7) races are completed, her worst score will be excluded. This changes RRS A2.
One (1) completed race shall constitute a regatta for awarding the Carl Reuterdahl Perpetual Trophy and the Keeper trophies.
