Rules and
Eligibility		 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). except as modified by the Sailing Instructions. All boats and competitors shall comply with the MCSA Class Rules. MCSA membership is strongly recommended (there is a $5.00 discount for current MCSA members who register online.)

This event is open to MC scows. Eligible participants may enter by completing an entry form, registering with the organization authority and paying the entry fee.

Registration Boat registration and meals
  • $55 - $60 if you register after January 19.
  • MCSA members registering online will get a $5 discount
  • Fee includes continental breakfast and lunches on Saturday and Sunday.
  • There is an after-race cook out on Saturday that is free for skippers and $5.00 for guests.
  • Guests and crew members can purchase Lunches for $7.00 each.

    Be sure to order these lunches and guest meals when you pre-register. Pay at the club when you check in. Please note that LESC can not accept credit or debit cards for payment.

Scoring USSA Appendix A using the Low-Point scoring system with no discards. This changes RRS A2. Five races are scheduled. A minimum of one race must be completed to constitute a regatta.
Trophies Keeper trophies:
  • Top Five (5) Any age, male, or female
  • Top Master
  • Top Grand Master
  • Top Mega Master
  • Top Female (provided a minimum of two (2) participate)
  • Top Youth (provided a minimum of two (2) participate)
  • The count of trophies may be increased in case more than 5 participants in subdivision (e.g., Masters) are pre-registered by January 19, 2012
VHF Radio Bring your VHF radio. It will be the primary way to communicate with the contestants about activity on the race course; e.g. delays, recalls, weather related issues.

Specifically for Recalls:
Following the display of the individual recall signal, the RC will attempt to announce first by VHF radio and second by hailer the racing number of all boats identified on the course side of the starting line at the starting signal. This changes RRS 29.1. Such announcement is a courtesy and failure by the RC to make the announcement, or of the boats to hear or understand it shall not constitute grounds for redress.
Lodging RVs/Camping City of Eustis zoning regulations limit LESC to four spaces for RVs (under 32'). Camping is allowed on the grounds of the Sailing Club (North side of building). Please declare intent to RV/camp in the comment section of your registration form - first come first served!

MC Boat
Storage		 LESC has a Boat Storage Program for sailors who want to keep there boats here between the regattas. The fee is $50. This keeps your MC here at LESC while you fly down for 3 weekends of club racing and the MC Mid-Winter's Regatta (Mar 17-19). Let us know in the comment section of your registration form if you are interested.
