Rules The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). This event is classified as a Category "A" event in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20. The Sailing Instructions will take precedence in case of conflict. This changes RRS 63.7.
Entries and
Eligibility
This is an MCSA sanctioned event. It is open to skippers of MC scows who are current members of MCSA and 50 years of age on or before the first scheduled race. A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number, and must compete with that number for the entire event.

Each skipper must declare his/her age and will compete in the associated division.

  • Masters - 50 - 59 years
  • Grand Master - 60 - 69 years
  • Mega Master - 70 -79 years
  • Old Salt - 80 years or older
Non-MCSA members will be scored DNC for all races. All yachts must comply with the MC class scantlings prior to the preparatory signal of the first scheduled race. Non-MCSA members will be scored DNC for all races. (Pay your dues via credit card now)

Registration Registration fee - $110 if you register by June 13, $120 afterwards. US SAILING members get a $5 discount.

Registration fee entitles each registrant to:

  • Three hot breakfasts and three lunches
  • Wednesday night Pizza and Beer
  • Thursday night Italian extravaganza
  • Friday night Steak dinner
  • Free regatta polo shirt (but you must order by June 13)

Radio Use Bring your VHF radio. It will be the primary way to communicate with the contestants about activity on the racecourse; e.g., delays, recalls, weather related issues.
Scoring The Low Point System, RRS A4, will apply, except that each boat's total score will be the sum of her scores for all races. This changes RRS A2.
Trophies Three (3) completed races shall constitute a regatta for awarding Perpetual Trophies. Keeper trophies will be awarded if at least one (1) race has been completed.

Back by popular demand, this regatta will be DRY SAILED!!

Crew:
Limited crew will be available. We will have a list available at regatta headquarters.
