Rules The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). This event is classified as a Category "A" event in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20. The Sailing Instructions will take precedence in case of conflict. This changes RRS 63.7.

Eligibility
This regatta is open to all sailors of MC scows. This is an MCSA sanctioned event. Each skipper must be a current member of MCSA and meet trophy age requirements before the first scheduled race. Non-MCSA members will be scored DNC for all races. All yachts must comply with the MC class scantlings prior to the preparatory signal of the first scheduled race. A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number, and must compete with that number for the entire event. (Pay your dues via credit card now)

Registration Registration fee - $120 if you register on or before July 9, $140 after that. US SAILING members get a $5 discount.

Registration fee entitles each registrant to:

  • Three Continental breakfasts
  • Three Lunches
  • Free beer hour after racing each day
  • Thursday night cocktail party/hors d'oeuvres
  • Friday night dinner with live entertainment
  • Regatta T-shirt
  • Additional meals and merchandise may be purchased online or at check-in.

Radio Use Bring your VHF radio. It will be the primary way to communicate with the contestants about activity on the racecourse; e.g., delays, recalls, weather related issues.
Scoring The Low Point System, RRS A4, will apply, except that each boat's total score will be the sum of her scores for all races; in the event that seven (7) races are completed, her worst score will be excluded. This changes RRS A2.
Trophies Three (3) completed races shall constitute a regatta for awarding Perpetual Trophies and declaring the National Champion. Keeper trophies will be awarded if at least one (1) race has been completed.

Keeper Trophies:

  • Top 15 Overall (any age, male or female)
  • Top 3 Masters (50 - 59 years of age)
  • Top 3 Grand Masters (60 - 69 years of age)
  • Top Mega Master (70+ years of age)
  • Top Junior (under 21 years of age)
  • Top Woman
  • Top Single-Handed Sailor

Check in with your boat at St. Anthony's Church and School to begin the registration, weighing and measuring process. St. Anthony's is located at W280N2101 Prospect Ave. (Hwy. SS), Pewaukee, WI. It is about one block from the PYC. Directions and a map can be found at www.pyc.org.

Lodging
Each participant is responsible for bringing his/her own mooring with anchor and 25 feet of anchor rope. Water taxis will be available to transport sailors to and from their boats. Trailer parking will be provided in an off site location. Vehicle parking is available at the PYC and a nearby location (if needed). No powerboat launching will be allowed at the PYC during the regatta but a nearby off site launch will be provided for those bringing powerboats.
