In 2001 we had 17 members from the participating four fleets (Arlington [41], Rush Creek [5],
Shreveport [1], and Windycrest [32]) complete the first ever MC Circuit regatta. Our goal
is to increase the fun and competitive nature of these regattas and attract even more participants in 2002.
While Holiday in Dixie (last year's first stop) is always great fun, Shreveport
will be hosting the first stop with an MC only event; it is during the same period
(Memorial Day) that they will be hosting the 2003 Nationals.
Entry Fee:
$15.00 per sailor. Must submit BEFORE the first regatta of the
circuit. For the 2002 circuit, Jack Hattendorf will volunteer to keep
score and keep up with the money, or if Drew Mize would like to volunteer to help
with the money.... Every year we can swap who is in charge of keeping up with the
scoring and money. The entry fee will be used for purchasing trophies to be
awarded at the last regatta stop for the circuit. Any extra money will be
distributed back to the fleets at the end of the season. I will start a log
book to be passed to the next fleet who is taking care of the circuit. This
will be used to keep receipts, etc.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the circuit, a sailor must race in three of four regattas
offered. If a sailor races all four regattas, he/she will be awarded a
"mulligan regatta" and will be scored with the best three finishes.
Scoring:
Scoring for the circuit will be as follows: Each sailor registered in the
circuit will be scored vs. other sailors from the circuit (i.e. if a sailor
places third in a regatta, but is the first that is participating in the
circuit, he/she will be scored with a first for that circuit stop. And if
the next circuit participant places 10th he will be scored with a 2nd for
the stop, etc.)
Trophies:
Trophies will be purchased by the fleet that is in charge of managing the
circuit for a given year. Trophies will be awarded at the last circuit stop.
