A record 39 sailors from 11 area lakes competed in the 19th annual MC North Lake Fall Classic Regatta on September 15-16, 2007. Winds were light, 5-8 mph, on Saturday shifting randomly from northwest to southwest. PRO Patty Brink and her team did a fabulous job setting the course for three races under difficult conditions. The breeze settled in to a consistent 8-12 mph southerly breeze on Sunday morning.

Bruce Gallagher from Pine Lake won the first race. Dan Fink, also sailing on Pine, nailed the second and fourth races. Not to be outdone, Erich Stabelfeldt from Okauchee Lake aced the third and fifth races.

Overall regatta winners were:

  • 1st - Bruce Gallagher, Pine Lake
  • 2nd - Erich Stabelfeldt, Okauchee Lake
  • 3rd - Tim Fredman, Pine Lake
  • 4th - Dan Fink, Pine Lake
  • 5th - Peter Toumanoff
Other winners were:
  • Top Woman - Wendy Brown, North Lake
  • 1st Mega Master (over age 70) - Walter "Salty" Schwarting, Pewaukee Lake
  • 1st Grand Master (over age 60) - Bill Best. Cedar Lake
  • 1st Master (over age 50) - Craig Thompson, Okauchee Lake
  • 2nd Master - Todd Faulkner, Powers Lake
  • 3rd Master - Greg Sutter, Pewaukee Lake
