A simple aid to lift your boat
At the 2004 MC Masters (June 22 - 24) at White Lake in Whitehall, MI, I saw a couple of skippers use
a real neat contraption to lift their boat while putting on and removing an envelope cover. When I returned
home, I rummaged through my parts list and built one too. And it works great!
Here are the pictures - click to see an enlarged version.

Parts list:
- 2" x 2" x 8' - cut 2 feet off for bottom support
- 2 shelf brackets
- Harken 048 - Triple block
- Harken 076 - Triple block/becket
- jamcleat
- 20' - 1/4" line
- hook - I used old carabiner - removed broken latch mechanism
- eye-bolts x 2
- woodscrews
Good luck and...See you on the starting line!
