Scoring

The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A will be used. Eight (8) races are scheduled. More may be sailed at the discretion of the PRO. A minimum of one race must be completed to constitute a regatta. If less than 6 races are completed a boats score will be the total of all its race scores. This changes RRS A2

Scoring for the MC Triple Crown series will be as follows:

  • First place finisher in the SER and in the Train Wreck Regattas will be awarded 60 points, second place finisher 59 points, third 58 points, etc.
  • First place finisher in the Mid-Winters Regatta will be awarded 120 points, second place finisher 119 points, third place 118 points, etc.
  • Total score for the series will be the sum of scores in all three regattas.
  • The Sailor with the highest number of points will be awarded the “Triple Crown”

Such announcement is a courtesy and failure by the RC to make the announcement, or of the boats to hear or understand it shall not constitute grounds for redress.
