The Low Point System will apply with one throw out if 6 races are completed. This changes RRS A2. Six races are scheduled but more may be sailed at the discretion of the PRO. A minimum of one race must be completed to constitute a regatta.

Scoring for the MC Triple Crown series will be as follows:
  • First place finisher in the SER and in the Train Wreck Regattas will be awarded 60 points, second place finisher 59 points, third 58 points, etc.
  • First place finisher in the MCSA Mid-Winter Championship will be awarded 120 points, second place finisher 119 points, third place 118 points, etc.
  • Total score for the series will be the sum of scores in all three regattas. Highest score will be awarded the Triple Crown.
VHF Radios & Recalls
VHF radio will be the primary means used by the Race Committee (RC) for communicating with the fleet about activity on the course e.g., delays, recalls, weather issues, etc. For recalls, following the display of the Individual Recall flag, the RC will attempt to announce by VHR radio the sail numbers of all boats identified as being OCS. (This changes RRS 29.1). Such announcement is a courtesy and failure by the RC to make the announcement, or of the boats to hear or understand it shall not constitute grounds for redress.

  • Top Master
  • Top Grand Master

If a Camper is authorized, camping is permitted

Boat Storage LESC has a Regatta Boat Storage Program for sailors who want to keep their boats at the clubhouse over the winter months- and then fly in for club racing as well as the Train Wreck and Mid-Winters regattas. You must fill out the form (LINK HERE).  If storage permits, you will receive notification and an Invoice - payment which must be completed immediately to maintain priority of request - and always prior to the Regatta.  Should storage become full, those who have paid shall take priority over those who have not.
