Eligibility The regatta is open to all MC skippers who sail on Wisconsin lakes. A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number and competes with that number for the entire event. Each competitor must complete a registration form and pay the required fees by close of registration. Trophy age requirements must be met before the first scheduled race.
Rules   The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

  1. The racing area will be the waters of Lake Beulah.
  2. The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be published and be posted on the official notice board located at the club.
  3. VHF Radio will be used by the RC to communicate with competitors on the water. Additional instructions regarding radio communication will be included in the SI’s.
  4. Safety Suggestion: MCSA encourages but does not require the use of masthead floats when conditions warrant their use.

Boat registration is $100 on or before June 15th or $115 if registered after June 15th.

$5 discount if you are a MCSA member. Please login to your MSCA account and then register to receive the discount.

Registration includes:

Complimentary continental breakfast sat & sun.
Free lunch to skipper.  Extra lunches $8.00
Saturday Dinner party (live band) ticket free for skippers, additional tickets $20.00.  Early registrations (prior June 15) to receive two Dinner party tickets.  

Special spectator boats will be provided for sailing viewing for your +1. A band will be provided on Saturday as the LBYC C fleet joins in (for the sailing and festivities).

 
Scoring Five races are scheduled. The Low Point system, RRS A4 with apply, except that each boat's total score will be the sum of her scores for all races.  This changes RRS A2.
Trophies
One race is required to be completed for the regatta to be official. At the conclusion of the regatta, keeper trophies will be awarded as follows. Awards will be based on her finishes in the overall fleet.

Launching & Moorings 

Boats may be moored but also dry sailed. Bring 30’ of line and anchor.

Launching will be at the club and set-up space is limited. If you are close or far from Beulah Lake, we welcome launching on Friday evening. Volunteers will be available to tow you to your mooring and to store your trailer during the regatta. Car parking at the club or nearby will be determined at the time of the regatta. Please look for signs and directions at the regatta.
