1. RULES
1.1 The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
2. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 The sailing instructions will be available at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/b8EcDK6MaC/#notice-board
3 COMMUNICATION
3.1 The official notice board is located on the first floor of the club and posted at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/b8EcDK6MaC/#notice-board
3.2 All boats shall carry a VHF radio capable of communicating on the RC channel stated in the sailing instructions.
4 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1 All participants must be active members of the MC Sailing Association and boats must meet all class rules of the Association
4.2 Boats may enter the event by registering online at https://theclubspot.com/register/regatta/b8EcDK6MaC/class
4.3. The registration fee is $160 with a crew package available for an additional $40. Both include: light breakfast both mornings, lunch Saturday, dinner and beverages Saturday. Sunday lunch and awards.
6 SCHEDULE

0830-0930 Check-in, Morning coffee and light snacks will be available.
1000 Competitors Meeting
1100 First Warning Signal
1800 Dinner
Sunday, May 19th, 2024
1100 Racing continues
No warning signal shall be made after 1400
Awards to follow
7 VENUE
7.1 Racing will be on the Navesink River northeast of MBC.
8 COURSES
8.1 Courses to be sailed will be windward/leeward.
9 SCORING
9.1 Low Point Scoring System in RRS Appendix A shall apply with amendment that no score will be excluded.
9.2 One race is required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
10 PENALTIES
10.1 Appendix V1 alters RRS 44.1
11 RISK STATEMENT
11.1 RRS 3 states: ‘The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue to race is hers alone.’ By participating in this event each competitor agrees and acknowledges that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury.
12 INSURANCE
12.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance. The Organizing Authority does not accept any responsibility for verifying a boat is covered by third-party liability insurance.
13 PRIZES
13.1 Prizes will be awarded to the first five overall boats, Top Master and Top Grandmaster
